Ok, I'm going to let everybody know the secret to changing players position's in TCY. Here's a chart of the position changes

Pos - Position Changes

QB - RB 'They will have no receiving skills'
RB - FB, TE, WR,
FB - RB, TE, WR
TE - FB, RB, WR
All Oline Men can change to any position on the line.

DE - DT
DT - DE
ILB - DE, DT, OLB, CB, S
OLB - DE, DT, OLB, CB, S
CB - S
S - CB, OLB, ILB 'They have no Pass Rush skills at LB'
K - P
P - K

You can make these changes and keep the players current Green Potential by changing them to Punter first and then the new position from the chart above. Oline cant change to punter so you'll need to change them to TE first. Example;

Center to TE to Tackle

Runner to Punter to WR

With Kicker and punter, you need to change them to OLB or ILB then to the their new position. If that's not available you can change them to QB then over to new position.

Try it out, it makes recruiting players more diverse because now you can change them with no loss of potential.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, I can change a RB to a WR by changing him first to a punter and then to a WR, like this:

RB - P - WR

I'm surprised you can change an inside linebacker to a cornerback this way. I can't imagine most college linebackers being able to hold their own at corner. Safety, sure, but not cornerback.

I'm also surprised a defensive end can't be moved to linebacker, but that a linebacker can move to DE or even to DT. I'd think those changes would work both ways.

I'll give it a try with a game other than my primary one first, and see what happens.

Thanks for the tip, Husker.

That's correct, first change him to punter then to WR. It will work perfectly..

This is the kind of thing I'd rather not know about. It's more of a cheat than anything... and where's the fun in that? I know if I change any of my players' positions, I won't be changing them to a punter first.

Just think of it this way LaStar.... most coaches will bring a kid into their program and play them in various positions to capitalize on their strengths. So even though you can't do it straight up in the game you could always imagine the end result is the same.
