Kinda funny really, because only yesterday I was having a conversation about fake names my friends and I use when we don't want to give our real names, and Aidan is the name I use.

My son was 10 lbs. 4 oz., and 22.5 inches long coming out of a 5'1" woman. So suck it, my son can beat your sons ass!
Kidding, congrats man. Overall, it's the best ride life can take you on.

Sleeping at my desk was not uncommon during the early weeks / months of my first, though she had problems with reflux.

Huh, except for the week spent in a hospital at one month of age, our son has been damn good with the sleeping. Goes to sleep early (for us) about 10-12 at night most of the time, wants some food at about 7-8 AM, then goes back to sleep until 11 AM to noon. Usually. There are always the exceptions.

My younger brother was this weight on birth, and has been forced to live with my endless array of "10-4, fat buddy" jokes for roughly 30 of his 33 years.

Oh, that's a good one. Especially being a (former) truck driver. I just call him a Baby Gorilla, though at first it was Gigantor.
Sorry to hear about the jaundice already Flasch. I take it the baby has not been out of the hospital since birth? They should put in some windows. ;)

testing now and if the results came down we can go home otherwise its a whole new level of drama since we wouldve been discharged but not the baby...
gotta love insurance companies that we would have to leave and drive back up every 3 hours for a feeding so say a prayer for us.

baby hasnt pooped in 27 hours. We've been supplementing a bit with Similac while my wife's milk comes in but its a bit scary since we need him to poop out the jaundice.

Glad to hear that. Babies can sometimes go a few days without pooping, but if he stops making multiple wet diapers a day, that is the time to worry. Good luck with the feeding plan this weekend. :D

thanks EF
Im quarantined to the bedroom while my wife and my sis-in law take care of the baby and stuff. This is so shitty. No flu though as I went and got tested.

Pretty soon you'll want to turn that poop valve off. :)
I had girls, but don't make the noob mistake and actually think he's done peeing. Remember, shield the penis with a diaper, unless you want to get pissed in the face. I think it was Swaggs who maybe learned this one the hard way.

We found you can't overfeed babies. When they can't take any more in, they'll just spit it up. So GO NUTS!!! :D

but if he stops making multiple wet diapers a day, that is the time to worry.
Quoted for emphasis. Dehydration can happy very fast for babies. When Sam had the stomach flu, the first thing the nurse (over the phone) asked us was when he had last had a wet diaper. When we responded that it hadn't been since the morning (it was evening at the time) she told us to go to the ER immediately.
So, pay attention to the pee diapers.
