Maxim (1-year): Amazon.com: Magazines (http://www.amazon.com/Maxim-1-year/dp/B00005NIPP/ref=pd_sim_mag_12)
$5 for a year? But it wouldn't allow my shipping address. :( For toilet material, that's a good price.

If you pick Ship To Canada, it jumps up to $34.95/year.
I'm just looking for a good read on the can, so I just want something cheap.

Maxim is shit nowadays. It was good for about the 1st 5 years (someone who subscribed since the 1st issue). I'm letting my subscription run out finally and won't miss it.

The articles suck, and the print is so small I can barely read it.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but honestly they used to have better more entertaining articles. Now it's just a bunch of childish hack writing. TRASHPRESS!

I guess it's worth that for a wank mag...

When Computer Gaming World went under they changed my subscription to Maxim.
Turns out Maxim sucks. I'd forward the issues to you, but it would cost more than fifty cents per issue.

path12 peaked my curiousity on what happened to Computer Gaming World. I was a long-time subscriber since around 1990 to about 2003 or so. I got caught up on its history at wiki and found it fascinating, with the confluence of the demise of PC gaming and the rise of the internet media. Personally, I think CGW started to fail when Jeff Green became editor-in-chief but I do find it interesting to have watched it go from 100-pages to 500-pages back to 100-pages and then 0-pages. Guess you can say that about a lot of mags. Computer Gaming World - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Gaming_World)

I subscribed until about a year after Johnny Wilson left, couldn't stand his replacement (your convenient Wiki link says it was George Jones). Actually started liking it again after Green took over.
As an old boss of mine might have said, that's why there's different color jellybeans in the bag.
