1 - Nothing but draft. The premise is simple. My team will be built solely through the draft. I'm not allowed to trade at all. I'm not allowed to sign FA, EXCEPT to fill my roster (and they are not allowed to be resigned), and all FA signed to fill the roster must be rookies and signed to a 1 year contract. I can use the Franchise Designation, Summer league, and resign players to my heart's content (except the FA rookie roster fillers I sign). I'l start with a random player file and preference draft, with all draft settings at the default. Injury set to 100, cap increase set to 10/20.

2 - Nothing but trading. Again, simple premise... your team is built solely through trades. You are not allowed to draft or sign FA (except FA Rookies to fill the roster... 1 year deals only and no resigning). No trade can have you GETTING picks, you can only trade them away. I can use the Franchise tag and resign players, but can't use the summer league. If I have a draft pick and that pick comes up in the draft, I MUST trade it for a player, no matter how scrubby. I cannot draft, not even draft a player and don't sign him. As with the first one, start with a random player file and preference draft, injury 100, cap increase 90/100, so that the AI can hold on to their players and have them available to trade to me.

The trading seems much more difficult to me, since my SP career has been based solely on drafting and learning how to draft. I'm interested in everyone's opinion on these ideas, and how you might tweak them to make the a little tougher (aka more fun).

Both very very easy to dominate SP.

Try #1 with no first round draft picks.

Try #2 without being able to resign players you trade for.
