Seriously, if you can find $1B in seed cash, I'll be one of your "bankers". I'll be that rube who goes and buys the treasuries, even, if I get $1M.

I was talking to a friend of mine online. We decided that we'd be ok with taking all of these numbers and just slashing them by 10. So, you'd be trying to make $100M, the bankers would make $100K, etc.

The thing is- interest rates will stay below 1% all of next year, most likely, and probably below 3% for the next 3 years since I don't see the jobs and subsequent inflation threat. So, at 4.75%, you'll still be profitable. Heck, I'm ok with steps 1-6 only. Or you can go straight through 11, but what will happen is that you'll basically be like a community bank and get gobbled up by one of the TBTF banks or even a smaller regional bank like Commerce in the midwest or BB&T in this area.
