On Saturday the Penn State women's volleyball team came back from down 2 sets to 0 against Texas to win their 102nd match in a row and their 3rd straight national title. They are the first school to win 3 straight titles andI believe only Miami's Tennis team has a longer streak of consecutive wins. Last year they went almost the entire year without losing a set.

I prefer high school volleyball chicks. They just seem more easily preyed upon and susceptible to the effects of alcohol. I mean..did I just type that? I only meant to think it.

I have a friend at work who played on the PSU women's team from maybe 2000-2003 (I think she got there right after they won a title and as soon as she left they won another, so I guess she was bad luck despite starting as a freshman). Her talking about the run they were making actually got me to check into the game a bit on Saturday...not bad at all.

what I never understood is why they only play to 15 in the 5th set.

It lets them get to the locker room orgies sooner.

I’ve kinda got a thing for any chick in spandex and knee pads, the volleyball thing doesn’t really matter to me.

Congrats to Penn State. Been a fan of the program since I met Coach Rose back in '88 when I was there.
Great guy. Didn't know he was still there.

I work with a young woman who looks like one of the Penn State girls in the picture posted above. She just came over to my desk and threatened to throw away all my papers because my desk is too cluttered. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. On one hand, I like my papers. On the other hand, she is one of the few women who still speaks to me even though I'm creepy.

Does she work in accounting?

Stanford Cardinal ends Penn State's volleyball win streak - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5562162)
Penn State's streak ends today at 109 matches after a loss to Stanford, ironically the last team they'd lost to back in '07.

Their winning streak may have ended this year, but they just beat Cal 3 sets to 0 to win their 4th straight National Title. The seniors leave PSU never losing a game in the tournament. Congrats Lady Lions!

Congrats to Coach Rose and the Lady Lions. Can't believe he's still there. Thought he was there a long time when I was there. :)
