It's a beauty of a cliche, and it meets are ageless criteria: it's meaningless, it's everywhere, and I really, really hate it.


Awful.

It's also funny how often he uses cliches but doesn't bold them because he's not thinking about it... A bit hypocritical.

What's Gene Collier's idea of a good announcer?

"The quarterback takes the ball from the center. He steps backward two yards. He takes one hand off the ball and holds it out in the air. The running back has stepped up and clutched the ball. I saw someone copy this style of article on MSNBC.com, I think it was, for something about health care and I was kindof mad Collier didn't get credit for the author ripping off his format.

I had never heard the term "Casino Blitz" used until recently. Aka, "They're ALL-IN!" Casino Blitz is my early pick for 2011.

I would have put all my money on "It's a process." That seems to be hot phrase in sports right now -- everything's a freakin' process.
