So, in what's seemingly been a tradition for me since getting a job, I've got a head cold thing going on including a wicked headache, so I'll probably be spending this NYE in. I read somewhere once that people get sick on vacations in part because their body finally has a chance to relax from the high stresses that people put on themselves when they're working, etc.

Today's my first day off since before Christmas, capping off a year that was crazy hectic and included 4 launches and travel that kept me away from my home for 1/6 of the year (not a lot, compared to others, I know, but more than I've done in the past). I can't complain, but my goal for 2010 is to slow down a little, maybe try not to take quite so much on at work (maybe meditate a bit?).

Anybody else spending NYE in?

Sort of...but I'm having everyone come to me. House party at my place...keg is on ice, champagne in the fridge and snacks are ready for munching. Should be a good time.

I've also had a nasty cold during my vacation. I've had trouble breathing every single night this week since Christmas day. Wife has the cold as well, so we are spending tonight at home just relaxing. Funny thing is that I'm sure her cousin (whose party we were supposed to attend) thinks we are just making excuses to go somewhere else.
