So the wife and I were doing some cleaning in the basement...we had carpeting and were victims of the "Great Atlanta Flood of 09" so that we had to pull up all the carpeting and tile. It took a while and we had a lot of junk down there. So we decided to start the new year by cleaning out the basement as we put things back together and got some spare stuff for my sister who is moving out of my mom's place to her own apartment. So, among the highlights we found:
Archos Jukebox player...this thing weighed like 10 lbs, but it was the shizzle.
Rio Nitrus...this thing weighed like 4 oz and broke after a few months.
Heroes II
Civ III
Might and Magic IX
Random beer mugs from various places
Tax returns from as early as 1998
The Tick on VHS
Various Spring Break memorabilia from 1997 or so including a Spinnakers mug (we stopped in Ocean City along the way)
I'll have to peek and see what else we found, but we went through files as well and got rid of a ton of old shit. Anyone else doing any cleaning?

hopefully my wife's wedding ring, because as of a few days ago it is lost somewhere in this house.

Among other things a Warren Moon action figure, two shaq action figures, 1 was in his LSU uniform and 1 in a Magic uniform, a Michael Jordan jersey, Joe Montana poster, and glow in the dark condoms with the quote, and I shit you not, "Warning: Things that glow in the dark may appear bigger."

Jimmy Hoffa? For serious. When we bought out both sides of our ~1760 constructed "duplex" and combined them we found a decent number of bones in the ground in the middle. Pretty sure they were all animal bones, but that's really not something you even want to consider.
For cool things, we did knock in a wall/notice newspaper/touch it and see it crumble. Called in a curator from the Concord museum with his tweezers and it turned out to be newspaper from the revolutionary war period (presumably used for insulation and not its resale value 2 centuries in the future). We also have a nook/cranny/previously hidden chamber in our downstairs bathroom that was almost certainly used for the underground railroad (and also a pretty awesome hide and seek location when I was younger.)
On topic, I guess the best I've found was Tropico because I forgot about how fun that game was.

Just found some more interesting stuff. I guess we had just been storing a bunch of junk, but some of it is worth some coin.
A Royal Copenhagen Porcelain bowl, appears to be from 1930-1950.
A hand-drawn picture of Frog and Toad (for those that know children's books). My parents were friends with the author.
A first edition, second printing of The House of Seven Gables, 1851.
I guess I need to do some more cleaning.

Whoa, that's actually kinda cool to find the newspaper and that hidden chamber.

Mine is the opposite. I cleaned my house looking for one of those removeable hard drives that I had with a lot of stuff on it. Sort of worried my girlfriend found it and is using it as leverage for a future fight. I had a shitload of porn on it and some nudes of some ex-girlfriends.

Silly, I don't think Ryan Leaf's success even exists.

I just found another one of Gilbert Arenas' guns. Now Jarvis Crittenton has yet another one to choose from.
Decisions, decisions...
