An Open Whine to Jim Gindin

Don't get me wrong Jim. I love FOF. I have purchased every version. I love TCY and will be certain to buy it again when or if a new iteration ever comes out. You make awesome games. I love them. And I also realize the multiplayer market for FOF is probably a minority of your sales and maintenance.

But I am going to whine anyway.

I didn't think it was possible for you to make FOF even more unfriendly to multiplayer users. Now, not only do users have to use batch files which went out of fashion long before many of your users (alas, not I) were born, but leagues can't just make one batch file for all their players and hand it out - every batch file is individual.

Yes, yes, much of this is Microsoft's fault.

But you could (should) have made multiplayer easier rather than harder. It would have made for a nicer patch.

Cheers and Happy New Year,

I was a little surprised that this wasn't addressed. Most folks are in multiple mp leagues.

I know we are not supposed to post things we want fixed here because Jim doesn't check here all the time. So I sent this to Jim via E-mail (2.5 years ago...) amongst other simple requests that never saw the light of day.

Plus, the game is now multi-player. We are still forced to fend for ourselves if we want to build more than one universe of football. The batch file is easy enough to create, but make it one less hassle for the user. If a new menu existed and you clicked on “Load a SP Universe”, that should load all the game files, city data, pictures with it. The same should happen when you click on “Load a MP Universe”. All the universes that the game has recognized should then be displayed. Some people are in two or more MP universes. The game should really recognize and respect that the gamer will do more than one universe gaming once he/she purchases your product.
