Kevin Cook gets Division III Gallaudet Bison women's basketball back on track - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?id=4803329)

This guy is one of the nicest coaches Ive ever coached against/worked with.
Glad ESPN noticed a "lil guy"

Are you deaf Muns?

Great read, the whole story of Gallaudet is very interesting as is the whole study of deaf culture.

Nope im not. Gallaudet is just in the same conference I am in. We were actually the team that they broke their 66 conference loosing steak against :banghead:

but its a neat story, and their campus/ games are an experience. Nobody talks in the gym except the opposing coaches, and when gallaudets team does something good, the fans just scream at the top of their lungs.

They actually are joining a new conference next year that will give them even more chances to win. They have a bright future.

Or the hearing impaired culture in general, particularly the great divide between those who are mainly or wholly oral-based in their communication and those who are mainly or wholly sign-based.

Had to post the update since last year.

Espn did another video and story on them

Gallaudet News, Videos, Photos, and PodCasts - ESPN (http://search.espn.go.com/galluadet/)

You have to click on the video results for Gallaudet.

Their new conference helped them win a ton of games. Was really happy for Kevin this year
