Here is a public school without any soccer goals for the team to practice with. They literally have to play all away games! So their request is for 2 regulation soccer goals to practice with and the school's PE classes would get to use them too.

How can I say no so Im donating and hopefully you FM players will too.

Hey Marc, You think the SEGA guys would want to chip in?

"Help us score a goal!! Help us kick it up a notch donors!! I teach 7th and 8th graders English and Social Studies, and also I currently coach Soccer, Basketball and Track at a public K-8 Elementary school. We are located in a high-need community, and most of the students who attend receive a free lunch and are living on or below the poverty line. My request will mainly benefit our soccer program, but also the goals can be used by our gym classes as well. Our school serves over 400 students.

We love soccer. We have about 25 players, grades 5-8th grade playing soccer right now. I can't cancel practice if I wanted too! They enjoy the game and the competition, but we are at a horrible disadvantage. We have no field and have to play all away games. Our practice field is smaller than regulation and we have NO goals to shoot into. We currently use cones for practice. It would be great to have goals, not only so we can be more competitive, but also so that my student athletes can have the same opportunity as soccer players in other schools.

As I mentioned, I have about 25 players on my soccer team currently. We practice at a local park across the street from our school. Our team is in its third year and I've been coaching the team for three years. Each year I purchase something to help the team--the first year it was shorts, socks, and shin guards. Last year I had to double the amount of socks, shorts and shin guards--we grew! We make t-shirts every year. The kids wear these all the time. This year, and for MANY years after I would like to get us up to speed with two soccer goals. When our team go to away games, we are at a disadvantage. They do not get to practice under the same conditions--and you know you play how you practice! The sport is growing in popularity in our school and our team has grown from 10 players in our first year to over 25 kids in our third year. We are composed of 5th to 8th grade students with a mix of new players as well as "veterans." Please consider this project--it will really benefit students for years to come.

Your donation will give my student athletes the opportunity that so many kids in our neighborhood do not have. You will make it possible for them to have the same resources that kids in other areas already have. They really will appreciate it and I KNOW once this project is funded the kids will NEVER want soccer practice to end.

To go: $3,867
Any amount welcome.

My students need two regulation size soccer goals with nets.

- if you want Go in and remove the optional donation to the organization so that more of your donation goes directly to the goal at hand (or leave the operational donation in)

Nice find Flasch, think of it as a potential donation to the US national soccer team
