Hmmm. And it's not like the Civil War Ozark Campaign game market is saturated.

I haven't played a Tiller CW game in quite awhile. Any specific thoughts or comments, Fritz?

Tiller has about 40 published games out there. He did the Battleground series and the "East Front" games as well.

I play his panzer campaigns and modern campaigns and find them solid. The games in a series share a common code base, so updates for new games are retrofitted into older titles. I have not played any ACW games of his yet.

His "sqaud battle" games get good writeups, but I have not played them either.

Edit:

Tiller has a plan that mixes lesser known battles with more popular titles. he feels this is a way to give a game series a long life.

Thanks Fritz. I got into wargaming by playing the Battleground Series and then his 32-bit versions after he left Talonsoft. But about the time when Campaign 1776 came out, I stopped playing hex-based wargames for some reason (maybe due to Combat Mission). I have a lot of respect for John Tiller and for anyone wanting to experience accurate traditional wargaming, get his games.
