I'd be willing to sell my used copy for $ 45.00 (40.00 + 5.00 shipping) U.S. shipment. If interested, PM me and we can get it set up.

Edit-360 version

I don't mean to step on your toes, but you can buy a new copy from Amazon (which would include free shipping) for $49.99.

Never underestimate someone wanting to save $.

Person A - Why buy used for $45 when I can buy new for $50?
Person B - Why buy something for $50 when I can buy the same thing for $45.

how was the single-player campaign in MW2 anyways?

I've played past CoD's (the WW II ones) but dropped off the series when my rig couldn't support it. With my new rig I might pick it back up again.

I played a game of Madden 08 last night on high-detail, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Snowing and windy at Gilette at night...gorgeous.

MW2 single player is fun but very short.

In the past SD has taken a very negative view of game trading/selling, but I don't know if that's still true.

hmmm...maybe i'll start farther down the food-chain, where i left off in the CoD series, and then work my way up to it and by that time it'll be cheaper.

i could also go back in and pick back up with Ghost Recon and Rainbow 6 I suppose...

SD admitted he basically never ventures into this sub-forum anymore though.

I would NOT buy MW2 unless you like playing online against other people. I think that is the purpose of the game.

Just traded my copy in on Amazon and got $35 credit. Pretty solid considering you can use that on anything on Amazon.

thanky.

i don't mind it, but i don't have the time or energy to devote to that as a sole purpose, so i'll probably stay away, at least until it's dirt-cheap. like i said, maybe pickup in the CoD series where i left off or whatever.

Right, I hear what you're saying. In general, at this price point, I think $40 shipped appears more reasonable. I realize it's only $5 bucks, so either way no big deal.

Of course, that is your personal preference. I'm sure that if it was $49.99 new at Amazon, he could sell it used to someone for $49.98 just because they want to save a penny.

Oh, and don't take any of my comments as a personal attack or anything or saying you are wrong. Ever since I started the business I just find buyer's buying habits and why they will or won't buy rather interesting. :) I love finding that price point between can't keep it in stock and unsellable. (Sometimes it is only .50)

Oh, I'm not taking it personal at all! Like you, I'm facinated by buying habits as well. As an accountant by day, it's in my nature to be cheap ;)

Just to continue the banter, I think there should be a premium on a completely, brand new product. The product from Amazon will be shrink wrapped, the DVD should contain zero scratches (although in all fairness the used copy might be flawless as well). The instruction manual will be clean, the warranty card can be filled out, etc.

I think all of those things add up to more than a .01 premium.

With regards to game selling/trading on here, I think Ben mainly looks out for FOF/OOTP/etc type that have explicit clauses that state you cannot resell the game due to the whole elicense issue. I don't recall him ever coming down on folks trading/selling normal, boxed games.

Agree, but there is someone somewhere that won't care about those items and only cares about the bottom line cost even if it is only a penny. Granted, I'm sure that is a very VERY small segment and you would never market yourself as being a used game store always 1 cent less than Amazon. Based on Gamestop, I'd imagine most people are in the buy used over new when used is around 15% less than new.
