Prior year stats disappear

I just finished the 2017 season on a fictional 6.2 SP game for the Minnesota Vikings. I ended the season and began 2018. Checking the 2017 stats on about half my players, I saw that they were shown as playing for Arizona for the 2017 regular season with zero stats but had stats for the 2017 playoff games as a Viking (as well as still having the previous years' Vikings stats intact). I thought the prior year file might be corrupt so I re-ran the last couple playoff rounds with a previously saved game, but got the same results every time. Has anyone ever had this happen? Any idea on if this is salvageable or if it's toast?

I checked other teams' rosters and found that most players show zero stats for Arizona for 2017, even Arizona's starting QB had zero stats for the regular season but did show stats for their 2017 playoff game. So it is not limited to just my team but most of the league.
