This project (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=59660) has been three years in the making for me. Finally, there's an editor in FM that's made it easier than ever to edit the game and adapt leagues.
In the past iterations of FM, I've always wanted to play in a US league that could compete with the best in the world. Of course, this usually meant going overseas and trying to graft together a USA league in Europe.
Not anymore.
I've created a seven-tier US pyramid that will gradually help the U.S. of A churn out the best talent in the world.
Ok, maybe not. But in any case, no more trying to play in obscure cities all over England, now we get to do it in the vast greatland of the United States. Not only that, but we'll get to play against the best teams in the world too, as I've created a few cups that give the chance to see where we stack up on the world stage, too.
I began my career with the Haitian national team, though. After the devastation in Haiti, execs from shoe companies, Gatorade and the Gates Foundation partnered on an academy in Florida for Haitian students to attend, but the plan was also to train a top level squad for Haiti to compete at the world level in soccer.
I've simmed to November of 2012, Haiti has advanced to the 3rd round of qualifying for the World Cup, but now I'm also looking for a club job. The only active league I'm playing with is the U.S. leagues, so that's where I'll remain.
So far, there's no job that really interests me, so I think we're just going to keep going and wait until something comes in.
Here's a link to the original setup of the league (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showpost.php?p=2210270&postcount=8), though it's changed as teams get promoted and relegated in the few years I've simmed ahead.
I'll be chiming in with results and reports from things that happen, once they're interesting enough to report to you.
