Now that I have taken a second look, I think you are right. I see a WMP (and IE) icon in the quick launch bar. Would love to know what mod(s) that is.

It's windows vista with blackbox for windows alternate shell (faster, lighter, more flexible and powerful than windows gui)

Please PM me details if possible - I'm intruiged ... and anything which is faster than the default Vista slug-pace sounds great to me (I'm missing XP).

Been fiddling with my desktop and finally have it streamlined to my tastes again. The wallpapers change daily, and the GUI colors and styles change to match the wall-paper. The GUI elements themselves are what I tinker with the most.

The only thing I would like to do that I can't yet figure out how to do is to automatically switch the running tasks to the 16px icons and 2 columns when I have more than 4 running tasks. I have to do that manually now, but I will figure it out even if I have to do it programatically.

I wouldn't even know where to begin with this stuff. That's quite impressive.

Here is a video tour of my desktop that shows how it works and how efficient it is. Wish the quality was better, but I think it gets the point across.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/J4uiuZSvlh0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/J4uiuZSvlh0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

watching that video 2 thoughts occured to me....
1) That is kinda cool
2) You spent more time making that video then I have cumulatively thinking about anything desktop related....for me its windows, no background pic and a solid black color and move on...

I did a search for Blackbox for Windows, and it took me to a site that starts discussing "branches". Not exactly sure what that means, but what version (my term) of BB4WIN are you using?
