I have read plenty about the timeout issue but has anyone else noticed that the clock is running on extra points?

Are you sure that this is working any differently than in 6.2 and before? I'm not seeing where it has changed.

Only anecdotally; in watching games on solevision pre-6.3a, the game clock never ran on PATs.

I think we're the same:

Pre-6.3a

Miami 6, Georgia 0</td></tr> <tr><td align="LEFT" bgcolor="#ffffff"> (1Q: 10:05) Extra point by Lorenzo Reuter was good. 6.3a

If I recall correctly, the time there is the time at the start of the play. So in the 6.3a version, the play started at 2:27 and ended at 2:20. However, the XP is listed (as in 6.2 before it) as starting at the same time as the play. I can see how it looks like 7 seconds come off the clock for the XP, though.

with 2 minutes left we stuff the bills on 3 straight runs. we had all of our time outs but the coach only called 1 timeout out of the 3 plays. He called a timeout after 2nd down. We force the punt and have the ball back with 8 seconds left and 2 timeouts. First play completed for 8 yards, end of game. We played bad enough to lose this game, of course. But it feels horrible to have some new glitch in the game after the new patch not give me the one last chance that i used to make gold on.

I have read a handful of stuff like this across my leagues, but this is the first time i have seen it in my game.

I think this raises another timing problem. This shows that 7 seconds ran off the clock on a touchback. NFL rules state that the clock does not start on a kickoff if the receiving team does not enter the field of play. So there should not have been any time run off on the kickoff/touchback.

I'd assume that the 7 seconds ran off during the play, and the game is just presenting it oddly.

This is what I was also thinking.

It showed that on the touchdown play as the SAME time as the extra point. That doesn't make too much sense, does it?

That's how I've always seen it, at least

I'll bet the game engine includes the extra point in the touchdown play as a single play, giving both of them the same clock time.

I think you may be right. I read it wrong. My bad.

Yeah, I've never quite understood the time presentation around TD/XP/Kickoff, but haven't really cared enough at that level of detail to investigate it or ask Support about it.
