So I woke up this morning and got on the computer. It appreared that a windows update happened overnight, because I was at the login screen. So I log in, and everything's fine, when all of the sudden while the desktop is loading, all of the colors went black and white.

I tried everything I can think off - Messing with the monitor and the wired connecting it. I went into the control panel and fiddled with nvidia display stuff. Nothing.

Finally, i downloaded and installed the newest driver for my video card. As it was installing the drivers, the color came on again. When it was done installing the drivers and wanted to restart the computer, everything went black and white again.

So I restarted the computer, and got to the login - Color was on. I sign in, and see that the desktop had color, and then after like 2 seconds, it went black and white again.

Gaaaahh!!! Anyone know what the heck I should do?

I guess the only thing I can do is uninstall the windows update that just happed. I don't think it's a coincidence that this all happened right after that.

But still, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If no one has any help, can someone at least tell me how to uninstall an windows update?

I'm guessing that when Windows installed the update it probably created a restore point. I would try that first. It should be in your CONTROL PANEL under RECOVERY.

Did that, and there isn't one.

I found this website to uninstall certain updates from Windows 7.

Any way you can plug in another monitor and see if it does the same thing? 99% sure it's an update thing, but I'm not sure how to undo one, might as well check this to prove it.

Ok, I was able to roll back the update, and everything's fine now.

Now I just need to figure out what the heck happened so I can install the update again.
