So I noticed that the MLB package is only $100 (unless you have to get the $119 package to get it through Roku) and you can stream that through Roku. I enjoy the Roku immensly for netflix and watching tv shows through amazon on demand but the pauses during rewinding/fast forwarding are quite lengthy. I have never really had much trouble with my interent speed during Roku movies but also am not usually on the computer at the same time. (Like I would probably be during baseball games) Is it worth the extra $100 to avoid these problems? Is there a way to get the MLB cheaper than $200 on Directv?

You do need the premium service to get it on Roku. I think that the other question is up to you though. I don't have great high speed, but I can still be on the computer when a movie or baseball game is on. Although my bandwith demands are pretty small by comparison.

The problem for me is blackouts. I would use MLB.tv in order to watch the local team (Nationals) because I don't have cable. But they force you into cable or nothing.

For some reason, the Roku site says the channel is not coming until late April.

Yeah. That's kind of annoying. They should have some spring training games on there or something.
