Here's this years effort by the company I work for, Qualcomm. Not bad, but last year was much funnier...

Here is a message at the top of another message board I go to every day:

Following the unprecedented number of complaints regarding Jeff's April 1st "prank" we've removed it; we are very sorry for any embarrassment it has caused some Members.
Because under the circumstances the usual degree of transparency in moderation and administrative actions obviously cannot be maintained, those members who chose to respond to events in ways that violated the Membership Agreement will not be banned, suspended, or even issued infractions. Whilst the provocation might have been severe, all members are reminded that they are responsible for the content of their own posts and that the Membership Agreement remains fully in effect. Do not expect that this one-time amnesty sets any precedent for the future.
Again our sincere apologies for this lapse of judgement.

Yeah, I don't even know what the prank was, but this is the kind of crap that drives me up the wall about today.

Posting a lame April Fools' prank should result in a $100 fine.

Immediately posting "Gotcha!" at the end of your prank, which was so transparently dumb that it didn't remotely "get" a single living creature, should result in execution.

The funny thing about all this is, today isn't even April 1st.

Gotcha!

This release that LSU was changing over to purple turf even got picked up by national media outlets before they got a clue. Notice the Seinfeld references as LSU turns to a famous importer/exporter to get the turf job done.
