I couldn't give a rip about Martha Burk's protest on getting women into Augusta, but I appreciate the fact that she accomplished something no one else has been able to do in this country. Hurray for a commercial free production of a sporting event! To be able to sit and watch The Masters without commercial interruption (apart from Enberg's abysmal 'Masters Moments') was a privilege I will not take for granted. Anyone else want to write the National Organization of Women and thank them for their pressure on Hootie? Anyone else want to write and thank the corporations who backed out of sponsoring the event? Anyone else want to write and thank CBS for sparing us another plug for CSI and Everybody Loves Raymond?

I have to agree with you here. Dick Enberg is horrible.

Do people enjoy commercials? I just have a hard time tolerating the continuous plugging of goods I don't need and can't afford. They bludgeon us over the head with these ads until we capitulate. I would rather pay $50 a year to have television without commercials than have to repeatedly dodge them. Maybe I need to get Tivo.

I like commercials, they keep television free. If it keeps up the masters will only be available on PPV...wait that is the only way I can get it here.
