Just to follow up my REALISTIC suggestions for FOF 7.0 draft ideas...here we can focus on free agency. Thanks to those who suggested ideas in the Draft Thread!
1. Allow for early negotiation with Scouts/Coaches/Coordinators.
2. A bar indicating the person's (coach/player) desire to stay or come to a team would be cool. It's like asking the agent, "are you actually interested in coming"...nothing worse than putting in an offer for a FA who then waits a few stages to sign with another team and you lose the good alternatives!
3. Let Stage 1-2 be limited to RFAs. A team can offer a trade at this point - a sign-and-deal trade, or can put up an offer sheet and compensation picks given in return, should the RFA not be retained.
4. A button for scouts to automatically identify those FAs who best fit the teams needs, the results can also include age/etc. It is simpler than searching for players!
5. A "trading block" area would be very nice. Players with contract issues/red flags who have caused problems/etc would likely be on it, but also if a team drafts a player who they would like to use instead, the original player can be posted before they are released (i.e. before FA round 2)
