My truck is squealing. Especially when I brake. So I take my truck in to get inspected and the emission tested (St Louis and area law). And to get the brakes fixed. I told them I needed them to be fixed. They call me later that day and tell me I still have 5 or 6k miles left on them and they arent sure why its squealing already. But they flet I could wait. Saved me a couple hundred bucks. The truck is the secondary car and gets used sparingly. So Im happy.

I had a local mechanic do the same thing for me a few years ago. I thanked him and have gave him my business ever since. When asked I always refer people to him and tell them the story about him saving me hundreds of dollars.
