Sorry this took so long, but it's finally here. This is the last of our sports to vote on.

Participants were asked to draft a team of 13 athletes. For baseball, they had to pick 4 Starting Pitchers, 1 Closer, and 8 Position Players.

Participants were allowed to pick pitchers that would hit in every game, but they had to state which positions those pitchers would be subbing in at on those occasions, and they were not allowed to sub more than once for any position. Pitchers that are being used this way have the positions listed next to their name.

Please vote for the top 3 teams. Voting will be tallied on a 5-3-1 basis. Participants may vote, but cannot vote for themselves.

LF Jesse Owens
CF Deion Sanders

Strategy note: Speed wins will be our strategy. We arent very big so we will do our best to play uptempo in basketball, pass a lot in football, while winning with speed/defense in baseball.

Los Angeles Letterman (Owner: hahnkim)

Manager: Red Auerbach

SP - Bob Gibson - 2B, SS, CF
SP - John Elway - LF, 1B
SP - Kirk Gibson - C, RF, 3B

C - Patrick Willis
1B - Hakuho Sho
2B - Paolo Maldini
SS - Dwyane Wade
3B - Jonathan Ogden
LF - Jim Brown
CF - Alexander Ovechkin
RF - Gianluigi Buffon

We've got two frontline starters. Roger Federer's serve clocks in at 130mph and with a little practice his fastball should be coming in atleast 80+mph. Brown, Ovechkin and Federer's skill with racket/stick in their hands should translate to hitting the crap out of baseball.

The Jacks (Owner: ColtCrazy)

Manager: Vince Lombardi

1B: Gehrig
2B: Pele
3B: Munoz
SS: Jeter
RF: Clemente
CF: Stone Cold
LF: Beckbenbaur
Pitchers: Van de Sar, Warne, Thorpe, Saturday
Closer: Garnett

Strategy Note: Gehrig, Clemente, and Jeter give us some incredible hitting ability. Thorpe pitched in college, Saturday works as a baseball coach in the offseason and would have experience. Warne is a world class cricket bowler that could be converted to be a superb pitcher. Probably our best line up of the 4, with the exception of soccer.

Note: The Huevos Rancheros owner chose to forfeit a team that included both Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb because he felt that it would take too much of his time to state which pitchers would be hitting and what positions in the lineup they'd play when they hit. Thus, they are ineligible for voting.

Just a couple notes for those who may not know, Tom Brady was drafted as a catcher by the Expos before he decided to play football.

And Gordie Howe often took batting practice with the Tigers, and was so good that Al Kaline thought if he had put his effort into the American pastime, he would have been great at it.

Thorpe did some pitching and Warne, a top cricket bowler, should translate nicely. Gehrig Jeter, and Clemente give us solid hitting.

Canton Raiders have two starting pitchers that pitched in the majors(1 2 time cy young award winner) and 2 others that were great high school players.

My team is filled with speed in the outfielder and a lot of high contact players in the infield with great hand eye coordination. This team will do very well in the low scoring environment these games should produce(speed and defense).

I thank you in advance for the votes;)

I could tell you about guys playing baseball in high school but is that really going to sway anyone? I've got Maddux and Halladay, Ted Williams, and the same level of world class athletes that everyone else has. I think having two cy young winners should automatically make my team better than anyone who went with 0 or 1 major league starting pitchers in their draft(hence my voting for Subby first, no brainer here IMO), and in Ted Williams I've got a guy who is going to drive in runs if others can get on base and hit for power and pick up a lot of solo shots if there aren't men on.

And our overall champion is Road Kill Cafe. They did not win any individual trophies, but two 2nds, a 3rd, and a 4th place finish were enough to take the title.

Owner: Danny
Head Coach: Paul "Bear" Bryant
Roster: Jackie Robinson
Wilt Chamberlain
Julius Peppers
Rafer Johnson
Tom Brady
Albert Pujols
Diego Maradona
Tim Duncan
Ronaldo
Kaka
Gordie Howe
Walter Johnson
Reggie White

The final tally:

1. Road Kill Cafe 34.5
t2. OMBE 27.5
t2. Canton Raiders 27.5
t4. Wake Forest 25.5
t4. New Orleans 25.5
6. Williamsburg Superstars 24
7. Los Angeles Lettermen 22.5
8. Huevos Rancheros 18
9. West Hollywood 14.5
10. The Jacks 12.5

Basketball Champ: Wake Forest Cougars (Radii)
Soccer Champ: Canton Raiders (jbergey22)
Football Champ: Overwrought Message Board Enthusiasts (Subby)
Baseball Champ: Overwrought Message Board Enthusiasts (Subby)

Subby's team took two titles, but poor performances in the other two sports cost him the overall crown.

And an honorable mention to digamma's West Hollywood Stars, who were probably the most versatile and well rounded squad, but were probably hurt by the top 3 and individual sport voting methods.
Subb's Overwrought Message board Enthusiasts took home two championship trophies (Baseball, Football) but it wasn't enough to overcome his performance in the other two sports.
