Quick question on position changes. I want to do the following (I run a 3-4 D)

Player 1: 50/50 MLB in 10th year, change to WILB (says little or no change)
Player 2: 52/56 LDE in rookie year, change to RDE (loss of experience to 48/56)

I figure player 1 is a no brainer, right? Moving player 2 because I acquired another LDE, and need one to play at RDE. Figured RDE is more of a pass-rushing spot, which player 2 is superior at, and long term could be very good there. Should I move him, and take the hit? Play him there but not officially change position? I really don't want to jeopardize his long term future, as he just had a +10/15 camp as a rookie, and looks to be a future star.

a couple things.

1. in a 34 defense you want your primary pass rusher at the left defensive end spot. you won't get as much production if your top pass rusher is at the rde.
2. if you play someone out of position like you suggest they will play like the ratings the potential move is saying, only they won't get better at the position if you don't switch the position. Also it is best to make position changes right before training camp so they can gain some of that experience drop back right away.

Regarding #1, above, can you expound upon this? Appreciate the feedback.

In a 3-4 defense, in FoF anyway, it seems that the RDE gets stats of a RDT.
