So here's the situation - I'm sitting in front of a questionnaire that some genuis wrote in Excel that's 341 lines long.
I have most of the answers in various Word documents. But when I go to paste, or paste-special and text from the word documents into the Excel document I get the following error: "Cannot change parts of a merged cell." The reason I get this is I guess because columns B-K have been merged together to provide a space to answer the questions.
I know there's got to be a solution, but everything I googled came up wit solutions for inserting MS Word tables into Excel docs (not what I need to do).
Is there a solution other than un-merging B-K and expanding B so that it takes up all that space? I don't necessarily want to fuck with the formatting of this questionnaire before sending it back to these people if that can be avoided. But I also don't want to retype all of these answers.
