I am sure most of us are all for not judging either sex by their desire for sex. (Or even whatever number or sexual partners they may have in college.) But reading the slide show, her personality just doesn't impress. If you are going to sleep around and be proud of it, at least have a badass personality to match. If you think this is any different than what happens at any other college campus with d1 athletics, or really any college campus with alcohol and bars you're mistaken. Although I will say we had better looking lacrossetitutes sleeping through parts of the club lacrosse team at UMass, let alone the varsity... :lol: Oh - and at least the lacrosse players beat out the baseball and tennis players in the rankings. That would have been embarrassing.

How exactly is this an invasion of privacy and defamation if it was leaked by her?I would guess the bigger concern would be the mentioned athletes - I'm not sure what qualifies as libel and where the line for liability gets drawn between the author and the publisher of something like that (and don't care enough to find out), but common decency at least should make someone pause before (re-)publishing something like this. Although common decency clearly left Deadspin when they became Gawker-ized and started caring more about publishing stories about athletes dicks than finding funny sports stories. (Not that I have some moral high ground - I just thought their previous style was a lot more interesting.)Fair enough, my intent was not to offend or enflame.

I've given up caring about the lacrosse reputation thing - and honestly there are a number of preppy kids, borderline racists and douchebags on that team - but there actually are some decent people, and there are actually even a lot of people without trust funds who play the sport at public schools. Seems like it would be the author's fault, not the publisher, for invasion of privacy. If something goes public from the source, it seems like it would be hard to fight if it indeed true.

So, no, I can't argue that posters here are more critical of looks than they would be in real life (although pointing it out is not really an original thought since we get 1 of those for every 3-5 comments about a womans appearance), but I can't agree less that the average weight of Americans as a whole should have any effect on our standards and opinions. :)

Eh. I came from a world where I wasn't particularly affluent and wasn't a college athlete. The few good-looking undergrads* that there were at my school wouldn't have much to do with you if you weren't one or the other. I'm in my mid-to-late 30s now, so I am not likely to meet or hang out with trim college chicks (some things never change).

Truthfully, it meant one of our players (and my college roomate's younger brother's) mother contracted breast cancer and someone started a challenge called Grow the Flow, where each person would donate their hair to Locks of Love once it reached 10 inches and raise money along the way. Since I'm actually a nice person off-line and easily convinced I committed to it (and spent 2-3 months regretting it ;) )
