The info on purchasing it/demo as well as the improvements made in the game can be found here.

One thing I do want to be clear on is that the developer, Brian Van Wyk, basically got the spaghetti code to the last released version of FOH from years ago, broke it all down and rebuilt it over the course of a year. In that time he made some enhancements which really make the old game more playable and user friendly - especially for online leagues but the game is not yet a career sim. It will be hopefully in the next version but step one of bringing this game back from the brink of extinction was simply rebuilding the game itself so that the FOH players could continue to play it plus allow some new people to get involved in leagues and such.
If you like hockey there's not a more statistically proven game than FOH so give the demo a go and see if you like the opportunity to play in a single season mode or even join a dedicated FOH league. If you're only interested in career play, which so much of our community is, at least come by and offer your suggestions for what you would like to see in career play and then keep tabs on the game - with some support from the community I'm sure Brian can do wonders pushing the game forward.
