Installing on New Computer

So I got a "new" computer last December and never put FOF on it. I want to now install 6.4, but I don't know how to do this. I downloaded and ran the installation file from solecismic.com, and it seems to have installed (I have an icon and everything), but it doesn't respond. All I need to do is run it so I can put in my order # and get the license, but I can't get that far. I just get...nothing.

Do I have to have an old version pre-installed on my computer in order to install 6.4? If so, where do I get it? Any help would be appreciated.

Don't forget to run the application from the directory in administrator mode the first time (for Vista, anyway, not sure about Win7).

I can't get the application to run at all, but I'm not sure how to do that in administrator mode in any event. I've got Win7.

OK I tried this. The run as administrator button is grayed out.

OK, so I went back to my original email where I purchased the game, downloaded the original file to install it before I uninstalled and installed 6.4, and even the original installation is not responding. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you right click on FrFoot2007.exe and go to Properties and enable "Run as Administrator"? That might be the issue.

Run it in compatibility mode for XP.

I was having the same issue as you and it turned out it was my anti virus, PCTools Spyware Doctor w/ antivirus that was blocking the program from starting. I have to shut it down whenever I want to run FOF. I didn't have the problem in XP but when I went to Win7 I did.
