Hello. I just bought the game. I installed the game. I cannot run the game. I just get a message instantly that the program has stopped working. Using windows 7. Installing and running as administrator. FOF 6.4 is the version that was downloaded.

Just to be clear, make sure you go into the directory where the .exe file is and run it from that file in admin mode (first time only).

I did indeed do that.

I also couldn't find anywhere to directly submit the question to customer support, which is why I came here. Is there such a direct request location, and is it expedient?

I didn't find any help in the FAQ. I tried the few things relevant that were mentioned there. They did not work.

Could you provide a little bit more information? I mean, I'm using Windows 7 myself and got FOF to work. Maybe a screenshot of an error messages coud do the trick?

Our email address is customersupport AT solecismic.com. Please do not send file attachments, as email with attachments will automatically be deleted before we read it. Please do not be personally offended if you don't receive an answer to questions regarding the internal algorithms in the game. There are tens of thousands of lines of code resolving play results, and to explain those details simply isn't possible without an enormous time investment..

Certainly! Thanks for replying. I am not certain which information might be needed as I've never had any program simply refuse to run without real explaination on any computer. :(

Also, I am running Zone Alarm as my firewall, but have tried running the program with it turned off.

I'm out of good ideas... :(

I've had quite the problems to get it to work too, but it's been a while (over a year ago) and I've long forgotten how I got past the last bunch of issues...
