I'm looking to develop a quick reference chart for stat benchmarks for each position.

For example, I'm not at the point where I can quickly look at either a cornerback, linebacker or safety's pass defense percentage and evaluate whether it's at an elite, average or poor level. But my goal is to be able to develop a chart that does that quickly, instead of constantly having to pull up the league leaders and compare.

What I'm looking for help on is the general consensus on what are the most important statistical categories in evaluating each position. If you want to rank those categories in order, better yet. I'm not necessarily looking for what you think are the benchmarks (I was going to do the actual legwork myself), but if you feel like contributing your thoughts on those as well, go ahead.

For example...

QB - 1. completion %, 1a. TD/INT ratio, 2. QB rating
RB - 1. YPC 2. fumbles
FB - 1. OPct 2. Block Pct

or something like that.

I appreciate the input.

In approximate order:

QB 1. YPA, 2. INT%, 3. Rating, 4. Sacks

WR 1. YPT, 2. Catch%

RB 1. Avg, 2. Fumbles, 3. RZAvg

Ben's got a pretty good formula going for rating the performance for players. Don't know how much is in his Extender weights (my utility will take your weights and pull the top players) or how much he's moved into his PHP and database code.
