Affinities and Cohesion

So an owner in a league today told me that the best way to build cohesion was to have affinities.

I was under the impression that affinities had nothing to do with cohesion.

Have I been wrong all this time?

I'll third Quik and Ben. Cohesion and affinities are two different systems.

Correct. Chemistry is not a sub-function of Cohesion.

Cohesion is based mostly on experience (not sure if it's years or games played) and is used to enhance on-field performance and gives bonuses to training camp. One of the biggest factors could possibly be the ability of QB's to learn new formations faster, get on the same page with receivers, and avoid those "familiars". Just guessing that's built in though.

Chemistry is based on astrological signs and is used to give some sort of benefit (or penalty is you have a bunch of conflicts) during actual game play.

The only relationship I see is that training camp can be used to reduce the negative effects of chemistry and good cohesion will enhance this distinct sperate function.

Bottom line, building good chemistry and good cohesion is a *multiplier* of goodness. However, having said that, I will guess that cohesion trumps chemistry in the weight room.

The trouble with astrology is that everyone who knows it's a sham only knows about bad astrology. I don't mean "by definition", it's just that astrology can be completely different form what people think it is.
