When I get inside my opponents 10 yard line, my passing completion rate falls off tremendously. I understand my opponents have less real estate to defend, but against RUN AGGRESSIVE defensives my completion rate falls from 59%-62% to something around 33%.

I've tried screens, RB/FB out of the backfield, TE slants/outs, etc. all with minimial success. Yes, I do attempt to run the ball say 50% of the time, but when I get these results passing vs. "RA".....?

My QB knows 17 formations and is rated at 88/88 and has a passer rating of 92-94 over the last two years... FL 82/82, SE 66/66 and TE 73/73 are his receivers. Cohesion rating for passing is only 92, however.

Also, the number of drops really goes up for my receivers in this situation. I would guess that 50% of all passes dropped occur inside the 10 over a season.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

In one my leagues, I have a 95/95 QB with 3 stud WRs, stud TE, and a very good RB, and my red zone efficiency is bottom 1/3 of the league. Passing and running cohesion are both 100. I've been having issues since 6.4 patch, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

You could also try running the ball

In one of my better redzone offenses i have run the ball set at 90% of the time on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down.

I would not use 50% i would use whatever is stronger on my team. If i have 3 wides a good QB i am going to pass 60% more at least if not 70% more.

You could also try running the ball

Through 10 games:

54 red zone trips - 23 TDs, 24 FGs
69 rushes for 232 yards
75 passes, 40 completions for 325 yards

We are running, and with little success. Despite the horrific numbers in the red zone, we still lead the league in scoring, though.

When I do pass and the defense is in RUN AGGRESSIVE, with one of the better passing teams in the league, the experienced completion rate has been around 35-40%...

Is that what others see?

With 6.2/6.3 my success rate was much higher versus RUN AGGRESSIVE...you would think with the defense moving towards the LOS at the snap it would be easier to slip a TE/RB/FB/etc. into the end zone from the 3 yard line vs. this RA defense.

* 54 red zone visits in 10 games is quite a lot
* on pace for 37 touchdowns from inside the red zone, that's also quite a lot
* 4.3 points per visit is roughly below average
* 3.3 yards per carry in the red zone is above average
* a completion percentage of 53% is above average
* 4.3 passing yards per attempt is pretty good in the red zone (Edit, I haven't factored interceptions here, but even if all 7 non-scoring visits were interceptions, you're still throwing 3.96 yards per attempt, which is still a very good number)

Updated numbers after todays game, leaves us at 57 red zone trips with 23 TDs and 26 FGs. Not sure why you think these numbers are good, but 4.2 points per visit inside the red zone is 28th in the league.:banghead:
