I know we have an influx of interactive dynasties but with the latest beta of PS4 looking very solid I wanted to start an interactive diary with that game starting in 1971 show folks could get a look at the Historical improvements.
The premise will be simple, I will do monthly updates (an example will be attached below) and player creation will also be simple. The game will start with the 1971 draft.

:) Thanks. I've tried sites that did something like this but they would always either impolode or just favor friends. This looks simpler. What's the software you use?
Oi I hope I didn't totally screw myself with numbers. Can you explain the pitcher categories a little? I might make a small change if allowed.
I see for batters there are a lot of no-power speed-demons :)

I just use powerpoint for the monthly updates and save them as JPEGs. You numbers are actually pretty good. I have a formula I use to adjust the ratings you give and potential based on age (It's a secret, LOL) but your guy should do well, he will just peak earlier than if you had put more in potential and probably decline sooner once he gets past peak.

That's what I was wondering. I assume Stuff is about strikeouts and stuff, control=# of BB/K's, Velocity = well i don't know, how important is it, potential = i have no idea.
And the 0-100 scale I'm not sure what that means. Does the 80 I put in Velocity = 80 mph or something diffeerent. I'm currently worried I'm pitching so slow it'll be homerun derby. And potenntial I don't know what to think, if my player will die after one game...:)

Stuff is basically command of your pitches, making him harder to hit solidly, velocity of course is speed and an 80 would be a high 80's, sometimes 90 fastball, this also has an effect on strikeouts. Potential is how much he will progress season to season and this number goes down the older you get until it settles at 1 when the player is maxed out and eventually when the player passes his peak the ratings decline.
And I meant what baseball program? what is PS4?

Okay I'm good then. That's about the speed an SP would pitch. And since his Potential is low, I may as well make him 21 years old instead of 19. Nice software. Is it better than OOTP? :)

It is different, both have advantages over the other and do different things well. Just my opinion but I would rate them as follows
Historical accuracy, Trade AI, ingame immersion and ease of set up - Advantage Puresim.
Depth of stats, set up options/flexibilty, bells and whistles and fictional play - Advantage OOTP.
Both very good games and I always support both developers. Give Puresim lite a try, it is a free version, kind of like a demo I guess that lets you see the interface and how the games play out. The paid version is the same base game with a lote more options and depth.

Yep, still taking players and still playing, I am watching a few games here and there now instead of just simming a month at a time since we have some guys starting, so it is slower :)

so is this league dead then?
Sorry, but yes, mainly because whe I started it there was an issue with fictional and real player mixes that caused ratings to crash and I was doing editing, which kind of took the fun away since I was basically playing god instead of letting players develop on their own. The new patch fxed all that so I wanted to start a new league without these problems and I am a lot happier with the results after 2 seasons.
Would love to have Paul Ruby in the Deadball League though, just finished 1902 so I need some rookies for 1903.
