Although NFL network does a superb job, I feel like ESPN does an adequate job doing NFL news. MLB does a much better job than ESPN covering the sport so my vote goes to that network.

I enjoy MLB Network's off-season programming far more than NFL Network's, so the edge goes to MLB. The only time I really watch NFLN is pre-season football and for in-game scoring updates (since I have DTV and can't get the red zone channel).

I rarely watch NHL Network and have never watched NBA Network, so I can't really comment on them.

Although baseball is my favorite sport so I'm biased, I echo MLB -- much better network than I thought it would be.

For someone like me who completely immerses themselves in the 162-game grind, the late weekday "Batting Practice" show is tremendous, where they discuss the night's matchups/lineups while showing live HD batting practices from that night's venues. It's better than I'm making it sound -- perfectly captures that "calm before the storm" giddy feeling of arriving very early at the ballpark for a game.

MLB Network is one of those channels that every time I watch it, I enjoy it...but I just never end up on it often enough. They really do a great job of recapping the day's games with whatever the late night show is.

The NBA Network does a great job of broadcasting local games to national audiences. The Tuesday night fan's choice is a great idea (even if most of the votes go to the Lakers if they're on).

The NHL Network does a great job of providing Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday nights and their coverage of the World Junior Hockey Championship the past couple of years has been a solid addition.

I don't watch the MLB network and the NFL network is an afterthought except for the odd Thursday night game.

I guess I privilege live events and the NBA Network seems to do the best job of providing live coverage of good match ups that aren't appearing on TNT, ESPN or ABC.

MLB Network does a great job with their nighttime shows during the season that whip you from game to game. Less talking, more games, unlike ESPN. Almost as good as having the Extra Innings package.

And they're not just Yankees/Red Sox 24/7, so it's got that going for it!

I only watch two, NFL and NHL, at any regular length. MLB I watched maybe a total of 8-10 hours last year. But that is about 7+ hours more than I watched NBA.

NHLNet, based on the fact that ESPN does not cover the NHL unless it's Crosby, Ovechkin or fighting, fills a bigger void. ESPN may not cover the NFL as well as NFLNet, but it covers 75% of same information. ESPN covers about 5% of the information NHLNet covers.

Overall, based on cumulative programming, NFLNet easily. I am a big fan of the Playbook shows (though I could do without some of the on air talent).

NHLN for me. Watch On the Fly nightly. Awesome show.

I thinnk the question should be rephrased to: What is your favorite sport?

NHLN for me. Watch On the Fly nightly. Awesome show.

I used to really like Kevin Weekes, now find him intolerable. Not sure why.

I guess I just wish On the Fly, or NHLN in general, had "more". I love seeing highlights, but once you've watched it once through, now what?

The Classic series/games are good. And really like when they replay all the playoff series of the previous year over the summer. But I wish they'd come up with some other stuff rather than show OTF 10 hours a day.

I understand the point about which is your favorite sport. However, I will say this. Even though I like MLB network the best overall, I would say that the NFL does a much better job with its top ten shows than the MLB does with prime 9 and its other countdown shows.

+million. It also suffers from "showing the score at the bottom of the screen just as the segment starts" syndrome even more than Sportscenter and other highlight shows do for obvious reason. If there are only 4-5 games a night, chances are you have seen every single score and exactly what happened and when in each game by the time they are halfway through the first highlight. The only reason I watch it is for the live look-ins, which can be pretty cool if there are a number of high profile games going on.

I sure wish there was a bowling channel. :(

Edit: Can't get enough Stefanie Nation.
