Just wondering how/when/if the draft set (the downloadable one here on site) included USFL players & undrafted players.

The files include only the players who made it to the NFL, they will be available in the draft class when they first appeared in a NFL game, not the year they were drafted. So Warren Moon shows up in the 84 class (I think) and not the 78 class.
