It's a mobile game. First on the Iphone, just recently put on Android. Both OS's can play with each other, too. I believe it can be played on the Ipad and Ipod Touch (maybe not the touch) as well.

Actually, "JEED" is one of the words I know what it means, unlike some of the other crap you've put down. ;) In horsemanship, to "jee" or "gee" is to turn right (or direct your horse to) and to "haw" is to turn left. Somehow that morphed into "yeehaw" associated with cowboys.

For anybody that doesn't know, I get disgusted with the current Scrabble dictionary. I don't think you should be allowed to put down slang ("za" comes right to mind) or "foreign" words (e.g. the Greek letters, "Chinese" versions of English words--XI, QI--or anything Latin).

Also, when I played Scrabble growing up in my house, we had house rules that you couldn't even go to the dictionary to look up spelling of a word if you didn't have a rough idea of what it meant. That meant that there was no trying to guess random words and crossing your fingers. It also meant we had to make quality words and no "cheap" words came up (such as "OE" which someone played on me the other day--I'll let you look that one up for yourself). It also means I never learned most of the "cheap" two-letter words (and three-letter words).

One thing this game does that really irritates me is doesn't penalize you for guessing. In the board game, if you put down a word and it's not an allowed word, you lose your turn. This one almost encourages it, which makes playing games with people who put down crap randomly hoping for a hit super frustrating.

Alas. It's a game. I actually have a friend who's memorized all the two-letter words (he doesn't know what half of them mean), and that's part of the strategy. Just a completely different strategy for me. When we (my mom, my sister, and I) play at one of our houses, we still use our house rules which frankly makes the game more interesting--and challenging. I just need to learn more shit words.

A guessing option would really be a nice option to have.

Except I think I might be king of crap words. I tend to just put my letters on the board and start mixing and matching. It worked wonders for me a few games back when I dropped DONATED on the board. Without throwing the letters around on the board, I probably never would have got it.

In the case of JEED, I was lamenting I didn't have a "R" for JEER. I was really just messing around with what I had and looked at JEED and thought to myself, "that might be a word". When the point total came back, I about flipped out.

A zax is a tool used in roofing, for cutting the roofing material.

Just because I get frustrated doesn't mean you shouldn't play like you know how. It means I gotta learn more of the crappy words (and sometimes, not have ALL FREAKING VOWELS like I do in my game with Poli...).

BTW, Poli, I may end up resigning that one soon, we locked up the board pretty badly.

Actually I'm not sure it was you or "just" you on FB. My friend Jason is the one who played "OE" on me the other day, he puts down a TON of crap words. He knows they're legal Scrabble words, just doesn't know what they mean. ;) I've got my sights set on him. :D

FWIW, I don't usually re-match after a game because I don't want to make someone feel as if they have to play me (this is same with Carcassone, too). I am always up for a game, so if you want to play, feel free to challenge/re-match. It's a nice distraction from everything else going on right now.

I had to stop playing Words with Friends because the Android version is a piece of shit. But I'm happy to report to the iPhone users that Wordfued has been released to iOS, much like WwF, but I think it's better since it works. :)

Weird. I installed WordFued and tried to login, it said my PW was wrong (I had it on my old not-so-Incredible). So I asked it to send me a new PW, which I did and it still says my PW is wrong.

WordFeud is now acting up on me on Android. I keep having to log back in almost evertime I launch the game.

No one seems to be reporting this on the market, so it's probably my phone not storing my login information. I'm using a custom ROM on the phone, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

A prior update a few weeks back, all of my previous games that had long been finished showed back up and I could not delete them. I uninstalled/reinstalled.

Current, I only have one game going. I made a move about 7:00am. Every 10-15 mins, I'll get the notification, pull up WWF...and it shows it is still opponents move.

I shut the app down, then went back in, then homepaged out.

10 minutes later, same notification.

Yeah - the chat's been messed up the past few days. I was trying to tell /tk that i had no idea a word that i played was a word and it was just a lucky guess with me trying to dump a "z" at the end of a game, but it never let me. Cool beans.

Just a reminder, I'm terpkristin.
I almost never initiate games, or automatically rematch, mostly because I don't want people to feel forced to play with me. But I'm always happy to play! Sometimes work gets in the way of me making plays for a few hours, though...

Also, WordFeud still doesn't work for me; it tells me I have an invalid PW, then I reset it, and it refuses to recognize it. Anybody have any idea if the devs for that read reviews or answer support requests?
