Does anyone play multiplayer with FM11? I know the game is popular with the people on this board, but I never see anything regarding multiplayer games so I was curious.

I think the annoyance for most is the need for a host. I didn't upgrade to 11, but I had no idea until spending some time on the FM boards that there are MP clans for FM around the world including a US one. Sort of neat. I'll probably do one based on a custom db or two for FM12.

But you have to pay a monthly fee. I did it for a little while in the beginning, but found it less than enjoyable overall. I think those things are fine if you're willing to get immersed, but it always seems like there are people on the other end who are either gaming it somehow or that you have to be there on the ground floor to truly enjoy vaulting to the top of your gameworld.

Well and there's the whole monthly fee part, plus buying the damn game itself for the privilege. I'm not mad at them for making money on a willing fanbase, but...it doesn't really delight.

My friends and I run a game in the premier league, we have Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City. Its a blast, really helps make the game more fun and immersible. Back when I lived in Scotland we had a 45 person set-up going, with almost the entire Scottish structure human

Are the FM forums a good place to go to join a multiplayer league or are there other good locations? Do we have any FOFC multiplayer leagues going?
