The new universal update is very nice but I wish there were an option to make the font larger on the iPad. The boxscores and on field view are really tiny now!

Palli, the developer, said he would be releasing an update with larger font size for the iPad version.

Update out

Thank you for mention it!

It got a little out of the blue for me as we went from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review" to "Ready for Appstore" in 30 minutes. Has to be some sort of record. :)

The fixlist for 1.2.1:

- Control Potential visible on Pitching Rating page for Batter
- Added star ratings on default view for iPad
- made player boxes on Field View 50% bigger and raised font size from 14 to 16
- improved speed between batters/innings on Field View (still small lag due to big screen size/stadium photo)
- added the possibility to edit team-color + team-text color on team edit screen (to make some team combinations better readable)
- fixed a bug with pitcher status during a game (just a display problem)

Thanks for making this available for the iPad. I'll be purchasing it (and probably some of the historical seasons) this weekend. :)

It rocks. This is the only game I play on the iPad. However not so much on the iPhone.

I have enjoyed playing it on my iPod. If I get the new iPhone, I'll probably leave it on the iPod and play it on there, due to what I suspect would be battery concerns with the iPhone.

For some reason I can't get the logos to install properly. I've checked the boards, but either everyone else has no problem or they've given up.

I use the iexplorer app to move the pix into the logos folder and it's not kicking. I've downloaded the teams.dat file, re-named the cities to just show the city names and it's not working.

Looked through the thread and didn't see this, but sorry if it's already been asked:

No chance this app ever becomes compatible with the full game? Aka, I could use it to update/etc my team in my online league?

While I still have a lot of fun playing this game, the logic behind how the game uses pitchers needs a lot of work. I'm in a fictional 16 team league and the AI just keeps crappy pitchers in their rotations no matter what happens.

The game also seems tilted heavily towards the hitters. I don't think I've ever seen a starting pitcher with a BABIP lower than .300, although this is admittedly anecdotal.

Don't believe me that the pitching AI is broken?

Is there a way to rescind or withdraw an offer on a free agent? I offered a long contract on a 35-year old closer (big gamble, I know) and his overall rating went down like 20 points, and he hasn't even signed the contract (though he does favor it). Now I really don't want him anymore, especially at that price.

Also, does this game crash a lot for others? Maybe it's because I'm using a 3G and not one of the newer phones?

This is me, too. I found the abbreviated lists really limiting on the phone, but the iPad has enough screen space to give me everything I want in a baseball sim (admittedly not much). have been playing for 15 seasons or so as "the Baltimore" (annoying bug, but I can live with it) and am enjoying it well more than my money's worth.

I'm not really angle-shooting a lot, but I will admit an unreasonable amount of fascination with a mid-career middle reliever who had enough stick/leather to get legit at bats, and who now gives me something like 250 at bats and 40 innings of replacement-level play (at a very low salary, too).

... as "the Baltimore" (annoying bug, but I can live with it) ...

We had to remove the nicknames but some news still expect them. You can just enter any nickname (Orioles sounds about right for a team in Baltimore  ) and it will display correct.

Too much work. I'll just laugh at your game in private and occasionally in public.

Nice, we will just use it as "back of the box" feature for 2012, something like "most realistic and funny baseball simulation available". Now beat that Puresim and Mogul. :)

In a more substantive light, my team budget was raised from 150m to 160m, but it seems very clear that the 150m limit remains in place for the meaningful calculations.

How am I supposed to edit fictional league names?

How am I supposed to edit fictional league names?

You can't do that in 2011. 2012 will be able to.
