I was wondering if anyone here watches this show, and what their thoughts are on it?

The 2nd season starts up tonight- and I saw in the paper today that it was considered a success on the History channel.

Just trying to see what others from around the country think about this show- for me it's great to watch because I know people like that. Hell my girlfriend is from where most of the show is shot- the first time we watched it I was joking saying oh look its your backyard, then when they panned out to show the map - it really was just a few miles down the road (or down the bayou she used to live on). So we love watching it just because it's close to us.

Kind of funny to see this thread, immediately before coming here I was checking the Braves website to see what channel today's game was on & noticed that History was running a very large ad for the show on the site.

My wife watches, finds herself rooting for the gators most of the time though.

The show is definitely a success for History, was their highest rated series premiere ever in several demos and was still holding just short of 3 million total viewers by the end of the first season. Some erosion over time but it seems to have settled in. That's very solid & played a supporting role in the network posting their highest rated year ever.
