QB being pulled

I don't really understand this logic and i am wondering if anyone has seen this before. Playing an MP game and I am losing by 19 with 4:50 left. I am on there 29 and my 83/83 is 18 of 31 for 251 2tds and a 105.7qb rating. Playing time 9. So if we score a TD here or even kick a FG we are down by 16 at the most possible just 12 with around 4 minutes to play, but the AI or HC pulls my stud QB and puts in my 42/42 backup.

If he was playing crap i could just about understand it but he wasn't. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Ok Thanks, I accept the answer as we all know FOF does weird things. But i do feel it we score a TD and take 2pts we are a TD and 2pts plus a FG away from taking it to OT with about 4 minutes left. Unlikely i know but possible but 11 pts in 4 minutes is not huge. The game had 70pts at this stage so offenses where dominating, so a score there a quick turnover and it's game on. Also i would have thought the HC would have let him finish the drive as he started it , we'd moved the ball 60 yards in 1min 30 seconds and had 3 TO's left.

Jim i'd ask this, if maximum playing time is 9 I have set it at 9 as i don't want him taken out (end of story) add to that he has a game QB rating of 105.7 and surely he has to stay in.

Oh well perhaps i ask to much of FOF.
