26 year old Wouter Weylandt of Belgium died during a descent today in the Giro d'Italia. Evidently he was going between 40-50 mph and something happened which caused him to lose control and slam face first into a wall. They tried to keep him alive for 40 minutes, but were unable to do so. He leaves behind a girlfriend that is 5 months along.
