Has this changed in 6.3 or 6.4?

SCENARIO: You have an aging solid player in the final year of his contract. During FA1 and FA2, his renegotiation request is static throughout, but in TC, he drops a fair number of points, and after camp, his reneg request is lower.

This isn't something that I've ever tracked, but it *seems* like in previous versions, the above happened for just about every older player, and it seems like in the current version, there's little/no drop-off in reneg request after camp. I have a specific player in mind. Harold Titone in the IHOF is 59/59 right now, in FA1, and requesting:

B: 7.56M
1: 1.51M
2: 4.53M

Being a year 9 RB, I'm assuming he'll be in the lower 50s or even upper 40s after TC. In prior versions, I could further assume that I'd save cap space by waiting to extend his contract, but I've seen quite a few cases where guys who drop 5-10 points in TC either don't budge at all, or drop their request by such a trivial amount that I don't even notice that it dropped.

Can anyone point to a case in 6.4 where this hasn't been the case--maybe where a guy dropped from 51/51 to 43/43 and went from wanting a medium bonus and salary to accepting minsal?

Maybe I am wrong but it seems to me that in the more recent versions that salaries are much more tied to last season's performance. Recently I have seen instances of crap rated QBs (not even masked) having great seasons because they are surrounded by huge talent at WR. They then turn around and ask for prime-time dollars even though their talent does not translate.

He dropped to 53/53 in camp and his reneg request did drop to...
