I don't know much about IP addresses and such but lately I've been having a lot of trouble having work email returned via mailer-daemon. They are from various email addresses I've worked with for years in some cases. I get "blacklist errors, aol was unreachable for too long, etc. It is getting very frustrating and I'm hoping someone more tech savvy than me might be able to help.

I use yahoo.com for work email. When I get these blacklist errors, the IP address it references isn't my IP address (and this IP address seems to be different every time). Does a new IP address get generated everytime I send an email from yahoo? Not sure why it would but can't figure out any other reason. If so, is there something I can do to keep this from happening?

Hope I'm explaining properly. I don't understand the inner workings and it's getting quite frustrating.

Thanks

I'll take a shot and guess that companies are blacklisting yahoo email addresses or yahoo addresses associated with some of the content of your emails.

Given the amount of spam bouncing around these days corporate email servers filter out quite a bit of traffic. The algorithms doing so are complex considering a number of factors, and a yahoo address may actually count against you.

I've had this happen before with a yahoo account as well...I just quit using it.
