NASA has decided to stop listening for signals from the Rover. It has been almost a year since the last signals were received. The rover had a great six year run, especially considering it was only supposed to last three months.

This makes me sad. Farewell Mars Patrol...

Are they just closing down NASA or what? I mean why stop listening?

The Spirit rover is the only one not working. It had been converted to a stationary platform over one year ago due to wheel operation issues. The Opportunity rover is still working well and proceeding towards a large crater called Endeavour Crater........

Well damn. It had a great run though, sorry to see it has been shut down.

I'm now looking forward to the Dawn mission and the New Horizons mission.
