This just seems like it could be a colossally bad idea...

I love the occasional cutaway Flintstones gags on Family Guy, but to update the whole show? Hey MacFarland... get out your waterskis!

eh, I'm ok with this idea. It's the superhero movies driving me nuts. And I love superhero flicks - but must we always get re-tells of the origin stories, only making them younger and more emo every version? Did they learn nothing from Spider-man 3?

I think the real problem here is that you are getting older and less emo. :)

I'm just wondering when Fox becomes Seth.

Maybe we need to reboot FOFC! That's the answer. Redo all the classic threads.

Let's start with this one, still no answers yet...

I was thinking more like doing a reboot of the Maximum Football thread, or, Can You Fudge a Bank Account Statement. Let's relive it all over, with modern improvements!

I was going for baby-steps, looks like you're ready to drop some haymakers to start though. Just don't gas yourself out!

Eh, why not. I think you probably have to be 30+ years old at this point to even know what the Flintstones are - I haven't seen them on TV in at least 20 years.

Though I'd rather see Seth MacFarlane do more of those full-length Star Wars parody specials, maybe for 80s movies.

But comic books = emo + brooding + cheesy poses

I dislike most superhero movies mostly because they don't stand up as just good movies and yeah they waste time on origin stories. When it's the same story every hero.

_____ is a mild mannered ______ , the son of a ________. He gets ______ by a _____ and gets special powers of _________. He is an outsider and now fights for justice.

Get ready CF:
Although comic books are released in a numbered sequence, DC Comics recently confirmed that the company is about to reset the numbers on their popular comics to begin #1 one all over again.

According to USA Today, fans of DC Comics will get a retro flashback when the new line of DC comic books hit store shelves this summer when Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and the Justice League restart with new storylines labeled as number one editions. The first in the new comic book line will be Justice League No. 1, which hits the comic book market on August 31.

This will only be the sixth or seventh Justice League 'First Issue!'. The big deal is suppose to be a bigger focus on digital distribution, but the price per issue will be the same for the first four weeks of release.

I like the idea of a Flintstones reboot. I don't like the idea of MacFarland being in charge of it.

Anyone else watch Teen Wolf? I was disappointed that they didn't have the main character playing basketball, but instead opted for Lacrosse.

I guess it isn't really a re-boot as much as a prequel, but I enjoyed the new X-man movie this weekend.
