Ok, this has been nuts. I have a Gateway NV52 notebook...I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and it is not supported (via tech support) by Gateway...at least for the touchpad driver. My mouse works fine, but I cannot use the scroll on the touchpad.
I've downloaded BOTH their ALPS and Synapsis (or whatever it's called) driver and neither one works. The ALPS one works fine, until I try to make a subtle movement in which the mouse CRAWWWWWWWWWLLLLS...I'm not talking about a speed setting either...I'm talking about a laggy glitch in which it literally takes me like 5-10 tiny swipes to even move the mouse a millimeter.
The Synapsis (sp) driver simply won't install. I get an error.
So my question is whether or not anyone is good at hunting for this stuff? Or, perhaps I'm better off trying one of those driver tools in which it diagnoses your entire system and finds missing/better drivers???? So long as it works with Windows 7 Ultimate!
Thanks everyone!
