Interesting....
Some of the touch screen functionality looks neat, but I don't see myself wanting to use it over keyboard and mouse.

I'm sure it's mostly just a shell, they've made no secret that they are not doing huge overhauls any more and getting a touch interface that can compete with Android and iOS is key. I'm sure it will be optional.
I hear fantastic things from everyone who has a Windows Mobile 7 phone, but I still can't get over the stigma associated with MS and any mobile OS.

It looks like an OS that fully embraces the fact that it will be used on mobile devices.

Yeah, most definitely.
Looks pretty neat and I like some of the touch functionality.

Looks exactly like Windows Mobile 7....which is pretty f'in cool. (I am a wm7 convert from iPhone)

Most reviews I've seen seem to take a "glass half empty" view of this being a shell on top of Windows. I've never quite understood why Windows should be as bad as they say for a tablet but the "glass half full" approach would surely be a tablet with the full functionality and backward compatibility of Windows.
