Haven't seen any mention of this here, so I'll mention it.
Has anyone picked one of these up? How do you like it?
If not and you're in the market for a tablet, why did you pass on this one?

My Verizon friends are waiting for it, it may be a touch slow getting out. I'll let you know what he thinks when he picks it up.
The HP TouchPad launches in a couple weeks and you may want to check that out. I'm pretty sure it has similar dimensions to the IPad.

Yeah, thought about it, but I'm not sure what kind of support WebOS will have. Right now, the apps I use are available on my phone, so they are on an Android tablet. My biggest thought right now is do I want it to run Windows or Android. I'm leaning towards Android because it's more lightweight and touch-friendly, but with quite a few 10" options, it gets hard since they all have similar specs.
I will probably pick up a Galaxy Tab, but was wondering what experience others have had.

I think I almost have my wife talked into letting me pick up a 16GB version at Best Buy this week.

I picked one up. Overall, I like it. Still trying to get some things set up, but it will do what I need at a good price.

If you can find an Asus eee Pad Transformer it's a VERY solid tablet at an awesome price.

Push me over the edge to buy this thing!
:D
The biggest thing I can think of for me to get this, is so I can watch TV and surf the web in comfort.
Is that worth $544?

The big thing for me is the ability to stream Netflix shows. Does anyone know if the Galaxy Tab or which other Android based tablet can play Netflix?

I haven't tried Netflix, but a look over at XDA-Developers shows that it's not running on any Honeycomb tablet yet.
I use my tablet to research issues at work due to a very strict internet policy and as an ereader. I'll also have it to do some map searching that I normally do on my phone, but will now have a larger screen to do it with.

So far, I love it. For how light it is, it really feels sturdy. The display is beautiful and seems perfect in size.
It runs faster than I expected it too, apps/web pages/video all load at a good clip.
Nowhere near the amount of apps that the ipad has, but I would expect them to grow at a decent rate considering the Android platform.
I'm a n00b, but some really cool apps for $1 or free.
Now, I just need to pry it from my 9 year old daughters hands, she's been playing angry birds rio and cut the rope all while relaxing on the couch. :)
I know I'll put the kindle app to good use, I love reading the paper in the morning on it, etc.. battery lasts all day long - we used it all day yesterday and still had about 40% when we called it a night.
My wife is starting to really enjoy it too.. we will see the use it gets after a few weeks, but I expect it's something that will see much use.

I do love the battery life on mine. I've charged mine once every 3 days or so with average use during the day. I mainly use it to search some websites at work (no, not those websites :) ), play games, and watch a video or two. I can see myself using it more as I work it into daily life. Definitely a good buy.

Yeah, I can already see it digging into a chunk of my home pc's time. :)
Was watching the women's soccer game today and it was a joy to sit relaxed in the living room surfing the web, getting emails, etc..

Best Buy geek squad installation? Also one of the brands is supposed to be permeable enough to self remove bubbles I think.
Screen protectors are a personal Waterloo for me. You basically have to be perfect plus have super hepa pure air filtration.

5 months later and it's not seeing much use.. time to ebay or craigslist and maybe pick up a kindle fire for cheaper price...

Are screen protectors really needed? I avoid them like the plague on my phone. Bought an iPad for my mom and didn't even consider a screen protector. Seems to me they feel bad to touch, muck up the display and protect a screen that doesn't scratch.

Only if you let your kids use it. :D

Interesting. My laptop gets used mostly when typing papers for grad school. Probably an 80-20 split in favor of the Tab.
Wow.. that's great.. I thought I would use mine more than I do. Should have waited on a cheaper route like the Kindle Fire.. but I don't think I'll have much trouble selling it. I do like it, but I hate to just see it sit there as I type on my pc. :D

Looking at ebay real quick, it looks as though you'll be able to make up most of what you spent on it.

Yeah.. I'm going to ping a couple of friends who were looking for one first, but I did see on ebay I could get rid of it, get a Kindle fire and have some money in the bank. :)

I use mine daily. The reason I got it initially, couldn't connect to external sites from my client's vpn, was resolved soon after, so I haven't used it for the initial purpose, but I do use it as an entertainment device and to surf the web when I'm out. Just turn on the hotspot on my phone and I'm good to go.

Oh it's a cool device.. we have 6 pc's in this house and the little time I sit on the couch and read or surf with it just doesn't make me feel like I should have bought it. If I was traveling with work, there would be no way I would sell it, I acually did take it to a family get together and watched a movie on it. It just doesn't get all that much use unfortunetly.
Even if I do get a Kindle Fire, I have a feeling I'm going to miss that 10.1" screen. ;)

Yeah, for awhile, I wasn't using it much. Then I started playing the KairoSoft games and I had it around more. Once I did that, I found tools that I could use for different things from the couch or around the house, so I started to use it more.
Now, I use it daily, either for websites when my wife asks some crazy question or for Fing to check out my network or to win more races in Grand Prix Story. :)

I stuck it on Craigslist for $350, but I'd take $300. I'll also stick it on ebay tomorrow.

Do you mean the ones that fold back into a triangle behind the tab?
